اللہ (Allah)
Allah (not so much a name but rather a title) defined as:
The ever living One to Whom everything belongs, ever living Owner of everything, Who decides matters on merit and credits, Who is causative, in a picture, foremost, nearest, closest, the most prominent, important, leading edge, driving power or critical engine of everything, authorized, incisive, intelligent, analytical, sharp-witted, keen, perceptive, insightful, clever, smart, quick; concise, clear, thoughtful, crediting, endorsee, sovereignty, powerful beyond measure, the Creator, the Lord, the Maker, one and only God.
See below for an in depth analysis by Dr. Khan.
Therefore, this is not true that Allah is a deity nor does the word “اللہ” actually derive out of the root word Hamza + Laam + Ha (ألّه), which is used to derive idol deities.
However, those infidel Allamas and their blind followers, who derive “اللہ” (Allah) from the root word of lifeless deities and their prohibited worship, they may argue that no Arabic root word is found from Hamza “ء” therefore the both Hamza + Laam + Ha (ھ+ ل+ء) and Laam+ Ha (له) are the same roots. They need to refresh their stained knowledge by looking at some of the following Arabic root words of Hamza “ء”: ء ت ي, ء خ ذ, ء س س, ء ف ل, ء ك ل, ء ل ل, ء م ر, ء م ن, ء و ب, ء و ل

Furthermore, as I have already mentioned that Allah is just the title of God in Arabic language, which does not forfeit the other titles of the same universal and one and only God known to everyone by its incomparable unique attributes.
However, the true primitive root of the word “اللہ” is Laam + Ha “له”, which will probably look odd to those ignorant scholars and their blind disciples who have no knowledge of bilateral proto roots but in reality this root “له” (Laam + Ha) exists in Arabic language and duly found in all standard academic class international Arabic dictionaries. As a proof I am presenting a screen shot of one of the easily accessible Arabic dictionaries so that evil Allamas cannot misguide people by their usual lies that this word “له” does not exist in Arabic language and is not available in any Arabic dictionary.
Hence, “له” is such a unique proto root which portrays all attributes of Allah to mean: the ever living One to Whom everything belongs, have trusteeship upon estates (legal term), be worth, hold gross (legal term), devisee (legal term), crediting (financial term), have the ownership and enjoyment of properties and rights (Legal term), Who decides the matter on its merits, ambulatory, multimodal distribution, stated value, Unicorn, causative object, spike, depicted in the foreground, nearest to the observer, especially in a picture, front, fore, forefront, forepart, foremost, nearest, closest, the most prominent or important feature, exhibit, leading edge, critical engine (military term), authorized depositary (financial term), cold call, cold canvassing (cold calling is a technique in which those individuals are contacted who have not previously expressed an interest in the products or services that are being offered, it can also be involved drop-in or door-to-door visits), incisive, a person or mental process intelligently analytical and clear-thinking, penetrating, acute, sharp, sharp-witted, razor-sharp, keen, rapier-like, astute, shrewd, trenchant, perceptive, insightful, percipient, perspicacious, analytical, intelligent, clever, smart, quick; concise, succinct, pithy, to the point, crisp, clear, punchy, on the ball, heads-up, commentator, authorized, licensed, licensee, own something or have it to use it, endorsee, princedom, the jurisdiction, sovereignty, principality, powerful beyond measure, God (the One and Only), the Creator, the Lord, the Maker (God), God Who has all power, Allah (اللہ) title of God among Muslims and among Arabs of all faiths.
If you look at the meaning of “ألّه” or “إله” (Hamza + Laam + Ha) and “له” (Laam + Ha) you will find for yourself that the root of “ألّه” or “إله” (Hamza + Laam + Ha) refers to lifeless deities, worship of gods, idolism, religious rituals, religion, faith and theism. Whereas, the root “له” (Laam + Ha) denotes the ever living One to Whom everything belongs, ever living Owner of everything, Who decides matters on merit and credits, Who is causative, in a picture, foremost, nearest, closest, the most prominent, important, leading edge, driving power or critical engine of everything, authorized, incisive, intelligent, analytical, sharp-witted, keen, perceptive, insightful, clever, smart, quick; concise, clear, thoughtful, crediting, endorsee, sovereignty, powerful beyond measure, the Creator, the Lord, the Maker, one and only God.
Therefore, you can correctly understand the true formation of the word “اللہ” which is correctly made by directly adding the definite article “ال” (Al) in the primitive proto root “له” and correctly derived له + ال= اللہ (Allah). Hence, because of direct conjunction of primitive proto root “له” with the prefixed definite article “ال” (Al) the title “اللہ” (Allah) encircles all fundamental characteristics of proto root “له”, which correctly fit in Allah’s attributes. Whereas, making “اللہ” (Allah) from the root “ألّه”, “إله” or “ءله” (Hamza + Laam + Ha) the first question of omitting Hamza (ء) will arise, which is a letter of Arabic alphabet and also represents the glottal stop ʔ. Hence, with the definite article “ال” the combination will be more like ھ+ل+ء+ الor ھ+ ل+أ+ الor ھ+ل+إ+ الwhich cannot produce the word “اللہ” without using false word engineering or out of the rule modification to delete Hamza (ء). Whereas, we don’t need to apply any out of the rule modification or false word engineering to derive “اللہ” (Allah) directly from its genuine proto root “له”, which is as simple as له + ال= اللہ (Allah).
This is the truth which is meant to come out no matter if the whole world tries to hide it.
So, in the above lines I have fully explained the correct root of the word “اللہ” (Allah) which is “له” (Laam + Ha) and now, it is entirely up to the readers if they still derive “اللہ” from the root of filthy idol deities “ألّه” or “إله” (Hamza + Laam + Ha) to make an ever living God a lifeless deity of false religious rituals.
